43T'Lin
I'm really sorry I haven't read everybody in this category. But I have to hand it to T'Lin. Imagine, watching *every single episode* of Enterprise. There has to be some kinda extra masochism prize for that! Just kidding! Sorta! But heck, T'Lin has to take the cake for writing a drabble for every episode. And for the episodes I saw, they were quite accurate. It's also a public service because I didn't actually have to watch the episodes to find out what happened. Plus T'Pol and Phlox are the best characters on the show, especially Phlox.

12JustVisiting
The lovely and intricate Alpha Shift is an outstanding offering and I wish this author were doing more ENT. Ze is truly skilled in both characterization and plotting, and this was without a doubt one of the best of the longer ENT stories since the show opened.

13KayJay
This author has such a gift with language. And also knows hir way around the clever side of the pen (or keyboard ). The Resolution was a wonderful poke at things that really bug us (some of us more than others ). Can't wait to see what you do next, KayJay!!

27monkee
Monkee is an amazingly talented writer, and never more so for me than when ze is doing comedy. Hir gift for humor is immense as witnessed in The Birth of the Federation . But what is even more impressive to me is hir ability to hit all the voices (as in Her Strut), pay close attention to canon, and still have me laughing out loud. Well done, Monkee!!

28nostalgia
Where do I start? I cannot say enough good things. Nostalgia is one of the most gifted (and dark, god I love dark) authors that I've seen in a long time. The stories ze writes are full of angst and often pull and twist the characters in ways that you never expect but that also never warp them out of recognition. This is talent! And the lyricism of the language, the seemingly deliberate intent of each word, is just superb. But it's also the twists that ze puts in the plots that shine. My favorite is in "A Way with Words"--a story that also highlights Nostalgia's gift for writing a profoundly damaged but infinitely interesting Hoshi Sato. One I hope to see more of in the future (but I'll settle for any other Trek character this author wants to write.) Do not stop writing, Nostalgia! Ever.

36Seema
In An Inconvenient Attraction, Seema does several things that underscore hir talent as an author. One is to make me care about Archer. But the other is to write an amazing story that holds up one way on first read, and then holds up in another, completely different, way on the second read. Her talent and versatility never fail to amaze me! Brava!!

6Djinn
Djinn moves flawlessly between series and her outing in Enterprise is no exception. She has a perfect command over the ENT characters, a good ear for dialogue and the ability to stretch what we see of Archer and company onscreen that much further. Her development of Mestral from "Carbon Creek" was beautifully done. Without doubt, Djinn is one of the best ENT writers out there.
-- Seema - Mon, 10 Mar 2003 16:07:37 -0500

27monkee
monkee is a lovely writer and "Birth of the Federation" showcased her comedic talent as well. I really hope to see more ENT fic from monkee soon!

28nostalgia
nostalgia is an intriguing new voice to ASC. Her command of language and style is wonderful and she unveils aspects of characters in a way I never saw them before. I especially enjoyed her treatment of Hoshi in "Vox Iuvenium." I hope to see more from this author.
-- Seema - Mon, 10 Mar 2003 16:10:56 -0500

33Rocky
I'm so glad Rocky decided to play in the ENT universe. Trip's voice in "An Everyday Occurance" was spot on. I hope Rocky sticks around and plays some more.

12JustVisiting
I really enjoy the depth and thoughtfulness of her writing.

6Djinn
I loved Djinn's story "Just One" which was based on my favorite ENT guest star "Mestral" Charming and romantic.

8Jamelia (J.A. Toner)
I liked her Reed/Sato stories.

12JustVisiting
Just Visiting posted my favorite ENT story this year, and one of the few of substantial length. She has complete control of the narrative; she is a wonderful storyteller. And she writes the ENT characters with a lot of understanding and a great ability to capture their voices and personalities.
-- Rabble Rouser - Tue, 11 Mar 2003 21:20:13 -0500

13KayJay
I like this writer's way with the ENT characters. "Keep it to Yourself" and "The Resolution" were fun.
-- Rabble Rouser - Tue, 11 Mar 2003 21:20:46 -0500

18Kelly Meding
"Catch Me When I Fall" is a truly enjoyable story with a nicely done Archer and Trip.

27monkee
I loved Monkee's story "Her Strut" with its different point of views including that of the "subservient quadruped." Very, very fun. And "Birth of the Federation" was fun too.

28nostalgia
Nostalgia is definitely one of our best ASC newbies to date and her Enterprise fan fiction is particularly impressive. She manages to dig beneath the glossy surface of the characters, giving us their edgier, darker side. She does so with a beautiful, lyrical style with plenty of lines to savor. You have to admire someone who goes out there on a tight rope, taking risks with characterization and style, and yet always keeps her balance. "Sloth" is an amazing look at T'Pol's thoughts, especially about Archer. Loved her coinage of the expression "species gap" in that one. Her Archer in the very angsty "The Needs of the Many" is no less remarkable. Though my favorite Enterprise story of hers has to be the one featuring her fascinating Hoshi in "Vox Luvenium" and "A Way with Words" both very interesting looks at Hoshi. Nostalgia's lyrical style and exquisite way with words works wonders there. They're all wonderful stories to relish and enjoy and benefit from more than one read.

32Rob Morris
Rob's canon stories aren't just codas but original reworkings of the material. Unlike the source eps, they're true to the letter and spirit of Trek. My fav is the one based on "Broken Bow." Pity the producers of Enterprise don't have a tenth of Rob's imagination or respect for TOS.
-- Rabble Rouser - Tue, 11 Mar 2003 21:24:54 -0500

36Seema
Seema's story "A Inconvenient Attraction" was one of the best mystery pairing stories I have ever read. The story is more than just a gimmick and is truly surprising.
-- Rabble Rouser - Tue, 11 Mar 2003 21:25:41 -0500

39Taryn Eve
Taryn Eve is another newbie whose work I like. I thought her story "The First Stone" was one of the most moving Enterprise stories I have read this year with an impressive grasp of the characters. Tucker's and Reed's voices and personalities are spot-on in this story. "Hoshi's Box" is a charming story. "Hermes Last Message" was an interesting and chilling short and "Pandora’s Box" captured Reed quite nicely.
-- Rabble Rouser - Tue, 11 Mar 2003 21:26:23 -0500

24Mara Greengrass
She writes amazing Hoshi stories and uses the character to reinvigorate even a lackluster Enterprise ep with her Dear Annie series. Awesome!
-- M. Edison - Tue, 11 Mar 2003 21:55:26 -0500

12JustVisiting
JV is truly one of the best writers, no matter what the genre. Her work always inspires and amazes me, no matter how short or long.
-- Mara Greengrass - Tue, 11 Mar 2003 22:03:03 -0500

37Sue
It's really nice to see a new author in the ENT playground and I hope Sue sticks around for a while. She writes Trip very well.

38stub&Joe
This one goes to the writing team...definetly my favorite stories come out of this pair.

46Zane Gra
another fav author of mine.

28nostalgia
Nostalgia writes beautifully sad pieces that manage to find the truth in the characters while taking them down paths TPTB never imagined. I look forward to more from her!

12JustVisiting
Just Visiting provided some of the most thought provoking stories I've seen from this series, and everyone was exceptionally well written. She combined great characterization with interesting stories - and boy, can she write unusual aliens. I greatly enjoyed her work and hope that her name doesn't mean she won't stay for a while.
-- Penny Proctor - Sat, 15 Mar 2003 15:26:56 -0500

36Seema
Seema is a prolific writer who rings the changes through all the series with equal ease. She seems to have found a special muse in Enterprise, which results in some solid and thoughtful genre-busting fic.
-- Paula - Sat, 15 Mar 2003 17:18:09 -0500

27monkee
monkee is very good at taking the Enterprise canon and turning it on its head (as in Her Strut) while still sticking scrupulously to said canon. It's always fun to read hir stuff.
