Heather knows how to torment Captain Picard. She\'s definately a master of the hurt-comfort genre. The use of telepaths is particulary well done, as is the path of recovery. The arc is natural, and the relationship well formed.

Each of these images was hysterical but my favorite has got to be Troi in the tutu with Dancing Bear Worf.
-- Rocky, 03:09 03rd March
Sometimes a female perspective makes all the difference. Very funny.
-- Rocky, 03:12 03rd March
Very amusing and scarily plausible at the same time.
-- Rocky, 03:13 03rd March
Very chilling, indeed. As difficult as it was for Riker to confront his former commanding officer, the author has upped the ante considerably. The last line is a real kicker.
-- Rocky, 03:14 03rd March
This was a truly bizarre story, and I mean that in the best way possible. Of course, considering the subject matter, it couldn\'t help but be! And frighteningly enough, it makes about as much if not more sense as the TOS Eden ep.
-- Rocky, 03:25 03rd March
I really like this. As usual with one of Seema\'s stories, the details make everything come alive. There are many subtle things going on here beneath the surface, and I enjoyed seeing the interplay between the two characters. Beverly\'s realization at the end is bittersweet.
-- Rocky, 03:29 03rd March
I really like this look into Marissa\'s motivations and dedication to her duty.
-- Rocky, 03:53 03rd March
Q\'s appearance helps bring a twist to the TOS classic. Interesting to contrast Picard\'s behavior and reaction to Kirk\'s.
-- Rocky, 03:54 03rd March
An interesting trip back to the beginning of our TNG crew. The characterizations are spot on, and I enjoyed Troi\'s interactions with both Picard and Riker. Once again, I can\'t help wishing that Lori\'s Troi is the one we saw in canon.
-- Rocky, 03:55 03rd March
In a nice switch, the familiar duo of Picard and Q has been \'replaced\' with their sons, who get along a lot better (due to the lack of baggage their fathers carry). Yves\' quandary is a tough one; I was surprised his instructor could put him on the spot like that. I like his journey into the \'might have beens\' of his parents\' lives, and the last part of the story surprised me. As always, another satisfying installment of the Captain and counselor series from Lori.
-- Rocky, 04:00 03rd March
This drabble manages to put us squarely in the moment of Wolf 359, in all its terrible intensity. Well done.
-- Rocky, 05:11 03rd March
With that question, I\'m surprised Picard passed basic biology. Vash\'s reply was perfect.
-- Rocky, 05:12 03rd March
Revenge is a dish best served cold, and I\'ll bet those Aldean women felt pretty chilled, physically as well as otherwise.
-- Rocky, 05:13 03rd March
Some lessons just have to be learned the hard way, I guess.
-- Rocky, 05:13 03rd March
Truer words were never spoken!
-- Rocky, 05:14 03rd March
I love that last line!
-- Rocky, 05:14 03rd March
Heather deserves a lot of credit as one of the most persistent and prolific P/C writers on the newsgroup.
-- Rocky, 05:15 03rd March
I can\'t even begin to think of TNG without Lori. Her portrayal of Picard has certainly helped change my perceptions of the character. I only wish that Lori\'s Troi could have been the one in canon. And speaking of canon, Lori\'s long and satisfying--and fortunately for us, still ongoing--Captain and Counselor series is one of the best and most consistently high quality works of fanfic out there.
-- Rocky, 05:16 03rd March
I always enjoy Seema\'s Picard offerings and hope to see more of them in the future. She also does a better job of getting inside Beverly Crusher\'s head than any other author I\'ve seen.
-- Rocky, 05:17 03rd March
Stephen has made quite a history for Marissa, and it\'s enjoyable seeing how far she\'s come.
-- Rocky, 05:17 03rd March
This duo is one of the mainstays of the newsgroup, and TNG in particular. Picard/Vash really comes alive in their hands, and it\'s fun to see them dabble in other pairings as well.
-- Rocky, 05:18 03rd March
Ventura33 is a very talented author in any series, but she particularly shines with the TNG crew.
-- Rocky, 05:18 03rd March
So much was said, but so much more was left unsaid and yet spoke volumes.
Quite upsetting really but an awesome read and I wish Seemas would write more P/C as when she does, she just does it brilliantly.
-- Janis, 06:21 03rd March
I liked this \"offspring\" of Kindred Spirits. Rocky makes me see the captains in a brand new, bright light.
-- Cait N., 16:26 03rd March
Chilling and powerful. A short glimpse into what happened at Wolf 359, but a telling one.
-- Cait N., 16:27 03rd March
This was hilarious! From the animal stench permeating the Enterprise corridors, to Beverly and Brenna acting like over-hormoned teenagers, to Deanna\'s striptease, I couldn\'t quit laughing. I would imagine that stuffing dollar bills is a little more comfortable than stuffing bars/slips of latinum. No wonder we don\'t see strip clubs in Trek canon!
-- Cait N., 16:29 03rd March
Interesting perspective on some of Picard\'s private demons and how he faces them.
-- Whoa Nellie, 17:26 03rd March
Beautiful tie-in with the unusual Picard-Janeway pairing that Seema has wonderfully created. The conversation was bittersweet, but rang true with how the characters developed over the course of the series and the movies.
-- Whoa Nellie, 17:26 03rd March
Sweet story with a lot of dramatic aspects both medical as well as psychological.
-- Whoa Nellie, 17:27 03rd March
This was a wonderfully fun trip with some neat tidbits of TNG and TOS canon sprinkled throughout.
-- Whoa Nellie, 17:27 03rd March
This was a delightfully whimsical answer to Stephen Ratliff\'s Titles challenge. We can easily picture Q tormenting Picard in just this fashion.
-- Whoa Nellie, 17:28 03rd March
This wonderful response to the Series shift challenge was a fantastic way to deal with poor Seven of Nine\'s \'Barbie Borg\' issues.
-- Whoa Nellie, 17:28 03rd March
This was a wickedly funny response to the series shift challenge.
-- Whoa Nellie, 17:29 03rd March
Although this entire series was enjoyable, this one was in a class by itself, absolutely
hysterical! We loved it! Bravo!
-- Whoa Nellie, 17:30 03rd March
We truly enjoyed this irreverent look at our heroes and their *cough* gallant contributions to the Dominion war effort.
-- Whoa Nellie, 17:30 03rd March
I have to wonder how much more Captain Picard can take. It\'s for certain that the Heather is going to put him through it. She\'s become a master of the hurt-comfort genre, and this story is merely another example of it.
-- Stephen Ratliff, 21:58 03rd March
I believe in leaving good things in people\'s inboxes. This was a good thing that arrived in my inbox last year, via ASCL. I have to admit that my reading habits on alt.startrek.creative aren\'t the best of late, but I took the time to read this one, and put it aside to read it again and again. Seema\'s tale of the regret of Doctor Crusher now that Jean-Luc Picard has found Katheryn Janeway is one of those stories that are told so well that it\'s near impossible to find room for impovement. When I read this one again for the awards, it was like pulling up that old worn book and curling up to read before the fireplace. The highest compliment I have for it: I bookmarked it.
-- Stephen Ratliff, 22:09 03rd March
The Butterfly Kitten has served us a really nice piece of Riker/Troi fluff ... I couldn\'t ask for more.
-- Stephen Ratliff, 22:15 03rd March
Picard and Janeway, Picard and Q, two relationship that seem to be filled with complexity, at least in Rocky\'s hands. Yet in all that complexity, it\'s still clear in her prose exactly what the shape of that complexity is, and the story flows within it. It is quite simply, a work of art.
