Never was an item of clothing more worthy of being immortalized this way. I enjoyed this very much.

McCoy is just so good at needling his captain--in more ways than one!

I like this very much. The author does a good job with the \'lower deck\' perspective on the commanding officers. I especially like how Kirk\'s concern and caring for his crew comes through so clearly.

Always nice to see a Peter Kirk story from Rob. The last line was unexpected (despite the story title) and made me smile.

I always like seeing Kirk and Mitchell at the Academy.
-- Rocky, 02:47 03rd March
Very funny, and so typical of Kirk!
-- Rocky, 02:49 03rd March
Another funny one. And I\'m sure Kirk is doing a very good job, too!
-- Rocky, 02:51 03rd March
This is a wonderful story. The title immediately reminded me of a key scene in \"All That Jazz\", and I love how well the metaphor works. Kirk certainly flirted with death enough times; I can definitely see it appealing to him now as the last great adventure. Beautiful imagery, and very poignant emotions displayed. Great use of the rosebud line as well.

The details really made this story come alive. I enjoyed seeing the beginnings of the man Kirk would become, and in fact was already on his way to being.
-- Rocky, 02:59 03rd March
Very clever! I for one am glad that this author caught the drabbling bug!
-- Rocky, 03:03 03rd March
Nice turn around of the classic \"Only Nixon could go to China\" phrase, in more ways than one.

An impressive re-creation of fairy-tale storytelling, very sweet.

This PWP may be simple on the surface, just a winter day in Iowa, but the scenery descriptions, relationship dynamics and characterizations are so wonderfully portrayed that it is a true delight--not to mention the humorous reference about the experiments of pubescent boys everywhere.
-- Whoa Nellie, 17:32 03rd March
Plot, smut, good characterization and banter, what can you say about a story that has it all. The interpersonal reactions between the primary characters is spot-on, it truly had the feel of a TOS episode--minus the sex scenes of course.

Wonderful view of the Kirk-Spock relationship following the events in the Search for Spock and Voyager Home; nice portrayal of the night before the court martial scene.
-- Whoa Nellie, 17:33 03rd March
Very Spock-like in a cute scenario that builds up the whole Ponn Farr incident wonderfully.
-- Whoa Nellie, 17:34 03rd March
This was a riot with some very tongue in cheek references about the original crew that were even funnier because of their accuracy. Great wit deftly woven with humor.
-- Whoa Nellie, 17:34 03rd March
We were impressed by this very enjoyable first story. The perfect blend of canon and irreverence made for a great chuckle. Bravo!
-- Whoa Nellie, 17:34 03rd March
The thought of combining Kirk, Rand, a Grapefruit, a Horta, and a tribble boggles the mind. However, this story manages to do all that with hysterically funny results.
-- Whoa Nellie, 17:35 03rd March
This delightfully entertaining answer to the Movie Quote Challenge plays off Kirk\'s infamous libido deliciously. We loved the ending.
-- Whoa Nellie, 17:35 03rd March
We can only marvel at this well done and wonderfully awful pun that managed to stick that insipid 70\'s song in our heads.
-- Whoa Nellie, 17:36 03rd March
Great view of a TOS episode from the mirror universe, it evoked a lot of \'what if\'s\' thinking about other events in canon from that perspective.
-- Whoa Nellie, 17:37 03rd March
A sweet, touching story that was beautifully told through Uhura\'s memories as she looks over the mementos of times past with Kirk.
